As I posted earlier (#8) I re-certified early in July my on-line confirmation at that time said next re-cert was July of 2027, checked it recently that date was changed to July 2025 *FxxKers!!*So the before sep 2022 was for the 5 year and the one in 2023 is for 3 year?

Dont they send a letter when renewal is approaching?
Or what if you save the date only to find out later in 2027 that you were late due to them moving the dates?
then if you are late you just renew anyway?
It looks that things "change as we go".
I wonder how many people are going to be impacted by the trickery.I got no notification for renewal or change of date, I believe it was a post from @Saltwater60 that he found his date was changed that made me check mine.

So I just called and thegatman and nortatoga are correct. This is only for nysp recert. My county permit does not expire. She said after sandy hook FUAC dropped it to three years from five for ccw. Target and premises is still five years.
It's funny because when I called the lady said not everyone in the office knows about pistol permits but she does and proceeded to give me that answer. The safe act required the 5 year recertification for all permits including full carry. The new CCIA garbage dropped it to 3 years for full carry. I spoke to someone in the county clerks office earlier this week and none of them understand what they are doing.
