You ever see a pheasant in NYC? No because they cover the Island full of concrete, pollution and assholes killing 90 percent of the native habitat.
Access to a public watershed running through your property is completely different than coming onto your property to watch your TV or hunt your land.Most people do not own the property of a stream/river flow up to the high water line if it is considered navigable,like most rivers/streams.There is exceptions like the Douglaston Salmon area on the Salmon river,where he got so you can traverse that area in a boat but cant anchor or fish,cause he got it so he owns the land underneath the water.Probably cause he was once a politician and could pull some strings,average guy doing that would be a no go IMO.

Yes a navigational waterway that runs through your property can be floated. If there is a tree across and you need to portage that’s legal too. Driving down a farm road and parking your truck to put in a boat is trespassing you need to access the water from public property or private property where you have permission.

How about this one, pertaining to docking dogs tails and clipping their ears. The Dems have gone crazy folks. It's ok to kill a newborn baby in NY if you decide you don't want it, but don't you dare dock your dogs tail or clip it's ears.

Yeah, I am very conflicted with this one too. First, I would like it if the government stayed out of peoples business, and that includes the farming business, but they don't, and as such there are many tax funded agencies federal and state, along with no, or low interest loans and grants available to them that are not available to the average businessman or citizen. I grew up in a farm town and worked on farms as a kid, many of my friends were the sons of farmers, and like one of them said to me many years ago, you don't really have to be a good farmer anymore, you just have to be able to understand and navigate the system.
So the fact that they can use my tax money in furtherance of assuring their success, I kind of resent it when denied access to land that I hunted for decades by a big time farm that used my money to acquire that land and is making millions in the Gasohol,(another tax funded), scam, and yet they do allow hunting to those that can help them like politicians.
This is a generality for sure, and born of the frustration I have experienced and have seen many other hunters experience in finding places to hunt, and in no way is meant to denigrate the family farmer and their time honored profession.
