I really can't stand these people anymore. Yep! every mourning legally permitted persons leave thier house with the intent of driveing too NYC and causing mayhem.

I'm not sure which part of the law allows criminals to be appproved for carry permits Mrs. Elizabeth Esty (D-Conn.), but i'll be sure to ask my rep to have that part changed.

Republicans pushed a bill through the House Wednesday that would make it easier for gun owners to legally carry licensed concealed weapons across state lines — and into cities like New York. HMMM....I, as a legal conceal carry cannot carry into NY without kissing someones @$$ in advance...How will this pertain to a successful "carry" bill ? Sort of like, "ignorance of the law is no excuse" for out of State people ?

I like how they say the republicans "pushed" the bill through. It has only taken almost a year. As opposed to the Fix NICS which broke records being rushed through committee.

There is two different issues you are talking about. 1 the guns and that is up for debate

On one side it is saying you must follow all state laws for carry, so if you have an L5 desert eagle in .357 you are fine, the double stack 25 Sig not so much unless you put a 10 round mag in it.

The other side of the argument is the bill specifically states it protects the firearm, and mentions that the magazine and ammunition are encompassed by that protection (but this could be to stop a whole we arrested them because the handgun is legal but we won't let them have bullets loaded, or it means your handgun, double stack magazine, and ammo of choice are covered)

Well it will take them a little time to figure out that they can still pass a law in NYC that if you plan to legally cary a firearm in NYC you need to checking at a local percint and get a good guy card for your stay. Watch this will happen sooner or later. It would not be a bad thing cause it would make dealing with a officer on the street easier if you have to have any interaction with them.

Yeah I know it might be a infringement. NYC is a total different animal then most other citys. What will work in Richmond or DC or Dallas or Chicago might not work in NYC just like what works in NYC will not work there either. Some of you will disagree with me but I know the issues the city is dealing with and how this will task the city with another issue it already unable to handle.
The city does screw the law abiding citizens when they try to get a gun which is total infringement , but having thousand of armed people walking around NYC is a recipe for disaster. Suck to say but it is. All it going to take is one mugging and the victim shooting and killing the perp and a 5yr old walking behind them on the street. Then you have the birth of the CCW justice warriors (just like the open carry assholes that are filming just to be dicks) NYPD cops are not going to play your game and it will end badly.

This bill would better serve us by forcing larger city to have in place a system to help and educate the legal conceal carrying preson and the officer how to deal with each other. Yet it doesn't.

There is no "federal nationwide CC"

It's a state must recognize a other states carry license like a drivers license

My understanding is there is no loophole. You have to follow your home state rules while in you home state you can't use your NH non-resident permit in NY.

The fear mongering is just ridiculous. There will be no more criminals walking the streets with guns If this bill were to pass. It's so crazy that they keep putting it in that manner. There will be simply be more law abiding people carrying guns and that will deter more criminals.

All though I do understand the concerns of someone who is untrained that could possibly use a gun to defend themselves from a violent criminal and end up injuring innocent bystanders.
However, that person would held be responsible for every bullet that leaves his gun.

I've been saying it for years, but if the government wanted to actually do something to make people safer they would offer some sort of a tax rebate or do something like make firearm training tax deductible.

If they were to incentivize firearm training they could motivate more people to want to be properly trained.

Ok but there is already case law that challenges not be issued at all, let' see the only no issue places were D.C. (ohhh case law from there making D.C. a shall issue area,

Hmmm...driver's license are good in any State.....so an out of State "deplorable" is able to drive into NY $hitty (legally) and run down dozens of people. How does the furher keep them "out of HIS State" ?? I don't see how the rest of the State can put up with the furher breaking the law with "sanctuary city" He's protecting illegal immigrants. I'm an "AMERICAN" city supporter. Enter legally, become an asset to the Country , support and enjoy the freedom, as all legal immigrants before. The State DOJ should be prosecuting him.

After all, is there some jurisdiction where a law-abiding potential concealed carrier can legally purchase a pistol without a NICS check? So...all of those "rogue pistoleers" have been background checked. Can you say the same about the criminals who carry now, and will continue to carry, without any checks whatsoever?

SO THE FUCK WHAT

New York currently has a concealed carry licensing process and issues concealed carry licenses (permits what ever dumb argument you want to call it) therefore if the bill passed and became law, sucks to be New York, at best they could try for an injunction before 90 day implementation happens while they (as Cuomo already said he would do) try to sue the goverment. Thus needing to find a federal court that would issue the injunction and the (or even a second court) willing to take on the case..

Nope something like that would take an insane amount of time to try and figure out then pass into New York State law (which it wouldn't) then bas3d on all the previous similar court options fail hard

The only thing they "know" is that they don't want We The People to enjoy our Constitutionally protected Rights, and they will lie through their dentures to infringe our Rights. Whether it is the 1st, 2nd, 4th, etc., all they care about is how much they can get away with.

H.R. 38 should have had a provision that any politician caught lying to try to infringe on our Rights is immediately removed from office, subject to a $500million fine, and will serve NO LESS than 25 years in prison, with no parole.
These scum need to learn there are consequences for being traitors.
