DOES IT MATTER? there are a couple important points. ONE: no personal income tax, no tax on food. and TWO: the state does control its spending. Granted, SD doesn't have to pay tens of millions of dollars a day for illegal aliens to get free, everything.
the good news is, I no longer worry about taxes, at all.

The harsh facts are that blacks borrow the most and pay back the least, as that black studies degree is worthless, as are most psychologists, sociologists, women's studies, social workers, gender studies, cultural studies, etc etc. Rocket scientists, mathmaticians, engineers make it, but you have to have a brain to work at the JPL/NASA, etc. The rest teach...... if they can.
Not even Law is guaranteed, as most law school only teach the law, NOT how to be a Lawyer and ruin is assured to the incompetent and brainless.
