"If" and that's a big friggin if, (like as in hell freezing over) I go to NYC I will bring my NY state pistol license with me. A city can't be allowed to supercede a state nor country. I can legally carry in NY state. If I were to get jammed up by the authorities so be it. Some things are worth it.

its the same excuse they always use "we don't have enough people to process the applications"

I have been hearing that bullshit since '94 when I received my permit. The Monroe County Sheriff used the same lame excuse for 9 months when I applied. Until I confronted them, as soon as I said "you're in violation of the NYS Constitution, I had my permit within 24 hours. But the very fact I had to put a fire under them is bullshit.

it won't, because "they" simply change the requirements. when I got my permit ('94) The sheriff got all upset when I told him they were 3 months passed the 6 month (constitutional) limit, I had my permit within 24 hours....

Now they moved the "6 months" thing to "when we get your finger prints back from the FBI.

well, lets say the sit on your application for 5 months, THEN send it to the FBI, give or take another couple months to get them back from the FBI and then they start the "6 months" clock.

and they can change that rule at anytime the feel like.
