The article title is also misleading because the guy wasn't looking to park in the spot, he just wanted to move the cone for a second to get around one of the thousands of asshole livery drivers in NYC who think the streets are theirs to double and triple park in.
“They’re not the nicest people in the world. I mean, they would cut your leg off in a heartbeat,” Don Muldoon, a retired cop who served in the East Village’s Ninth Precinct for 26 years, told the Observer. “But the funny part was, there was very little crime on their block, although we did find some unconscious people lying there once in awhile, you know? Of questionable moral fiber.”
I think that's the thing with the Hell's Angels. You really don't want to fuck with them. Leave the alone and you'll probably be fine. If it were me I would've left the cone alone and just waited it out. Curious to see if the prospect had a NYC Permit. My guess is no.
They still have hells angels?
There used to be a bar by my job like 20 yrs ago where they hung out. A couple of guys picked a fight inside with them and one got a hammer in the head when the owner locked the doors. Kind of like the Bronx tale "Now yous can't leave.
Those guys are no joke.
Just another reason I say if I NEVER set foot in the city ever again, I would not be one bit disturbed. I really hate the city and anything that has to do with it.
