I thought NYC was complaining that not enough people were working in offices, destroying the economy. Now they want to persuade people to NOT work in the office?
You pay a registration fee, inspection fee, sales tax, gas tax, tax on parts, brakes, tires, fluids, bridge tolls, etc...
And now, to pass over a piece of street all your taxes and fees have already paid for, you'll pay again, and the kicker!?!? It's NOT for roads or anything your VEHICLE will travel over where the toll is collected, it's for the MTA and it's dysfunctional and wasteful financial boondoggle!!!
The MTA should be investigated for waste management, or loss of public funds they can't account for... The State just keeps pulling in revenue from more an more untapped sources to finance the ridiculous waste!
I drove down in NC quite a few times this year, for weeks at a time... The roads are clean, no garbage, no overgrowth on the sides, no crumbling guard rails, no potholes, there's Rest Areas that are kept clean and usable, signage is all clear and readable, etc., etc., etc... And there's no tolls on the bridges, etc.
Anyways...

I use to live in NC, and let me tell you what, their side roads are AWFUL!!!! Some are not even drivable, lol. I`ve seen better roads here in NY, and that`s just sad.

Stuff like this is just another tax. Whether it taxes a resident who works in the city or a business that delivers. There are real options. The worker can and likely already works from home and the business can charge the end user a higher rate to cover the tax which get passed onto the city residents. They voted for her so they should be the ones to complain. You won't catch me in NYC. lol
