Huge difference in tobacco prices at the res. I used to buy my chew in Nedrow.

On the Reservation, an ounce of weed sells for $100 and up. Depending on the quality of the stuff. So it seems a nickel would be $25 I think. No tax on weed or anything else there.

I live pretty much next to the reservation and get my fuel and cigs there.
I pay $25 for a carton of cigs for the ones I like but there are cheaper options. I think off the reservation a taxed carton of cigs would be at least $100. Just for the sake of comparison.

Like pot? Fuck the state. Grow your own. Make sure they don't get a penny in taxes from one of the world's easiest growing plants. I don't touch the stuff, but I grow their horticultural cousins – hops. Both plants grow like weeds (imagine that).

A nickel bag from back in the 70's would be like 1/8th oz today. I remember in high school, if you didnt get 10 nice j's you'd go right back and most dealers would do the right thing. Unless it was some sort of exotic weed, then you'd get 5 or 6, exotics were rare back then. Late 70's til the early 80's when I had to give it up nickels started shrinking til they pretty much went away.

Thai stick. That was the turning point when prices started going thru the roof. Paying $25 for 3 or 4 skinny j's tied to a stick. the nickel bags started shrinking. Remember the paraquat scare? Think it was around '74 or so, word was that the CIA was spraying the crops in Mexico with something called paraquat, if you smoke it all sorts of bad things would happen to you. Your nuts would shrink, your lungs would explode, your brain would rot. How did we survive with out the interwebs to guide us?
