See how this plays out. Myself and others are not real thrilled about it. We may not deal with it often but I’m not real thrilled about some scumbag I interact with on a call getting access to all my personal info. I know it’s not all that hard to track down all this info in this day and age but I’m not sure we need to make it easier. Some departments are choosing to give only names and the department address.

“Each firefighter, emergency medical technician, paramedic, nurse, or anyone that witnessed the crime or had contact with the victim or the defendant will have to turnover their personal information including their date of birth, home address, phone number, and email over to the defendant accused of the crime and are now subject to questioning by the individual accused of a crime or their defense attorney. The individual accused of the crime can then make contact with each witness or person on scene of the incident and these individuals will have to comply under these new laws.”

We haven’t discussed it as a company yet. I’m going to push that we refuse to comply. If enough organizations do the same maybe it will bring some change. It’s hard enough to get people to show up as it is without bullshit laws endangering our members and their families.

am I correct in assuming that if I witness a crime, AND I COME FORWARD, I will now be subject a criminal BGC, AND the dirt bag will have all my personal information.

If thats the case, if I witness a gang-banger doing something bad, I will keep my mouth shut and go home. I am not giving my personal information to the local gangs so all their buddies can come "visit" me and my family in the middle of the night.

I’m glad you posted this it saved me some typing. If I was a volunteer like one of you already said above I would be done!! Now on top of all the other shit I have to deal with (and for the record I am cool with what I deal with it’s what I signed up for). I have to worry about my personal info being handed over? I see a lot of 'witnesses' NOT COMING FORWARD in the near future. If I witness a horrific crime or even a severe car crash, it's likely I will simply walk away. I will not get involved. I see no point in putting my family in danger just because a defense attorney wants me to make his job easier

Paid first responders will be able to do this "on the clock" what about volunteers? Take time off of work? More of their free time wasted? Fuck you.

I believe it was done deliberately to ensure a system remains in place which maintains the victimhood complex necessary to sustain leftist majorities.

Otherwise, why not just repeal the laws that they no longer want enforced? They need the police to continue enforcing certain laws so they can cry racism and such. This is what the residents and citizens of this once great State wanted. They have been wanting things like this for years and years.

Never a secret what was wanted. Never. Piece things together; statements made the past few years and this is what you get.

Too many in America willfully stay blind to what is occurring all around them.

They think it is hip to be Progressive. Hip to be Liberal. The best way to accomplish their goals is to look out for the little people, the ones that have it tougher than all others. Figure out ways to help the poor even more, do everything in and out of their power for the homeless, the underpaid, the many different minority groups.

Push the blame of all failures on the working class. They want there to be class issues, they need race and gender issues. They need to save the criminals among us.
