If they were truly committed to this they would sit down and read the Constitution and The Declaration of Independence, refer to writings by our founding fathers to help clarify points they don't understand, then start revoking laws an regulations enacted in at least the last 75 years that don't measure up. But that would take thoughtful consideration and it's much easier to make more laws that take away the very freedoms that they claim to initiate.
But they don't really mean what they say, just like that liberty stealing bullshit "patriot act" has nothing to do with patriotism. So their "Freedom" unitive will steal our freedom.
Our Freedoms are outlined in the Bill of Rights, your laws take away from those guarntee's.

Whatever they do, New Yorker's will be forced to pay for it as the Trump administration will not fund it. Nor should they. Massachusetts said they were going to protect illegal immigration. Fine. Pull all Federal funding from that state. Make the good citizens of Mass. fund it themselves. I can't think of no better way than to force the "Not in my backyard progressives" to walk the talk.

The same should happen to NY. Let us see how long the state legislators and governor politically survive that. Pull all funding that involves any chance of that the money being directed to policies that conflict with the election mandate. Have Trumps AG file suit if other funds are redirected.

Other states should not be required to fund experiments in NY or other left-wing states. Let NY tax payers take on the burden. Let Albany raise taxes. That will ensure that the next two election cycles correct the madness here in NY. :beer: :flag:

And the retards in this state that empower them. And by that, I mean the asswipes that didn't vote in 2022.

In 2022 2,762,581 voted against Asshochul, who had 3,140,415 votes. At current count, 3,443,683 just voted in NYS for Trump in this election.

Within that almost 700k difference between 2022 and 2024 republican votes, I'd bet 60 -70% are republican or tend to vote to the right. They are the ones that gave us Hochul.

We were just 378k shy of sending that buck-toothed old crow packing. A 15% higher turnout would have done it.

Turnout in 2026 will be the only chance we have of saving this state. We can do it if people just get off their asses.

Some Republicans can be retards too.

You can have 150% turnout.
Until there is a way to audit the election in NY it won't matter.

When I voted I didn't even get a receipt that showed how my votes were tabulated. For all I know they were immediately switched to Brandon's cum-sock and all I get is a quick graphic saying "Thanks for voting!".

I get it but the problem with your comment is it can be inferred as a passive defending of those that didn't vote. Pure defeatist. I doubt you meant it that way.

A receipt is not a guarantee that cheating still couldn't take place. The machine could spit out what you cast but still record it differently. And do we really want yet another kind of voting machine? Oh an audit ...everyone turn in your receipts...how's that going to work out?

Lever machines worked just fine and no one got a receipt.

If the illegals get to vote it's all a moot point.



ETA It's a damned good thing people in swing states weren't thinking the same way on Tuesday.

I've said the same for quite some time. Many don't know that SNAP (foodstamps) is a FEDERAL program funded thru the USDA to the states who then distribute the funds. One month, just one month with all the people raising hell and just pushing full shopping carts out the door without paying, that's all it would take! I'm sure hippo james would file some kind of lawsuit but so what?

This is true, and I sincerely wish we could go back to those devices.

Or to a device that utilizes open-source software and whose accuracy can be questioned by any citizen and the device audited. Shouldn't be hard to write an OS that photo-scans the ballot (or records what button is pressed at the time of voting), adds on what tally was modified with the new vote, and retains that information in more than one secure database.

No, I'm not defending those who don't vote. While it IS their choice, I feel people should really be involved in the running of their own government.

I just really feel that it would have been moot if every >18 person voted in this state. It's beyond coincidental that every time Republicans get their base to get off their asses the Democrats miraculously manage to pull a hat out of a rabbit and keep control.

No, I'm not defending those who don't vote. While it IS their choice, I feel people should really be involved in the running of their own government.

Sure you're right if everyone in this state did vote we'd get swamped. No doubt we're outnumbered. But Dem voters tend to sit out midterms more so than Republican voters in NYS. 38% (Dems) to 25% (Repub) on average decrease in midterm turnout over the last 3 election cycles going back to 2012. So when I say "turnout is key" I mean Republican voters. FFS the spread in 2022 was less than 7% between Zeldin and Hochul.

Do you know who Scott Presler is? If not look him and his organization up. He was a huge force in registering people in PA to vote for Trump.

But outside of certain circles he didn't get huge press, at least not enough to cause the Dems to stop him or match him in turning out voters. There are only a few mentions of him on this whole forum. Again, his efforts were huge.

We need that kind of effort to drive turnout, quiet, under the radar so as not to provoke an equal response. But most of all for people to stop saying it can't be done! cuz ChEaTiNg.......that is fast becoming an excuse feeding the self-fulfilling prophecy of defeatists.
