Curious what that was and if its a known problem? Most automakers for the last 30 years have pretty much figured out weatherpack connections. That's the key issue, isn't it.Salt? We don't need no stinkin' salt! I've had some white-knuckle moments in 50 years of winter NY driving, but salt wouldn't have changed anything. Learn to winter drive and save the salt for the rib eyes and popcorn.
At my old house, I used coal ash on the ice sheet in my driveway. Didn't melt it much, but gave it traction and worked a hell of a lot better than trying to melt it down with bags upon bags of salt.
