But stupid NY’ers passed this a few years ago as a constitutional amendment that everyone has the right to clean, air, water, and soil. We voted for it and we screwed ourselves. I certainly don’t vote for it and I knew it would come to this and there’s more coming.

The government would rebrand a shit sandwich and sell it to the public as "affordable, renewable, socially responsible and equitable nutrition and people would vote for it because it has words in the description they like or support their causes.

Never forget A&W hamburgers went out of business because they sold their 1/3 lb burgers for less than McDonald's 1/4 burgers and Americans suck at math and thought A&W was short changing them.

So there’s a few other states that have this on the works. Funny how this occurred right after it’s now more expensive to charge your EV than to fill up the gas tank.
So what’s the goal? Bankrupt them or raise the prices to push us to EV’s because the USA in large is rejecting them. Of gas and oil prices increase because of fines then people will switch?
I just spoke to a guy who has high efficiency heat pumps and he said they are terrible. He hates them and I doubt he’s a conservative.

I got a new 98% efficient propane furnace last year with a new AC unit.

I wanted to try out a heat pump and I got told NO that I will NOT be happy. They said it isn't as efficient, and it is not as reliable as a traditional system.

I also got sold a nice R-410A AC unit. Not that bullshit flammable inefficient refrigerant.

I can say this past summer and winter has been great. Fuel bill went down slightly and nice cold AC during those 90F days.

This was coming from a guy who was willing to spend double on a heat pump system.

Fuck heat pumps in NY.

I do have to say the guy I spoke with wanted them to keep the place at 60 degrees and they were probably not made/designed to run that low. The companies love them because they are making tons of money off them.
