You would think, with the amount of money they have, they would be able to better withstand the weather here in New York.

LOL, as I have said on NUMEROUS occasions, its not only their income that's leaving, this also a brain drain. MANY of these 'hi-earners' are the more intelligent of the population. As more and more of these type people leave, the entire state become dumber.

Which, I suppose, is a good thing for the elite that like people they can control.

Moving to Arizona? Has anyone been there besides me. It is STUPID EXPENSIVE to live in Az. especially Phoenix. There sales tax is on par with NY, and their housing is off the charts. a 1400 ft² home, that needs a lot of work, will clear $400,000. In Fountain Hills, the average price of a home is north of $750,000, with many homes into the 7 figure range. But they are building like there is no end to the market?

I was there a few years ago on a vacation. I'm not a fan of large cities so i didn't spend much time in them. I did hit up a LARGE gun show in Phoenix. I think it was called Crossroads of the west show. The Rochester gun show is a joke compared to what they had! Flagstaff was nice, but yes very expensive. The best part of that state in my mind was a small town in the east central part of the state, Alpine. Low population density, it was green, and as the locals told me they get snow there in the winter. So water is somewhat cheaper there compared to the rest of the state.
