Anyone know if there is a database somewhere or list of the Counties in NYS that routinely issue Pistol Licenses with Administrative restrictions? Or conversely a list of those that do not?

I think that the old Canadian site had a list but it's probably outdated, the obvious ones that only issue restricted carry (unless retired LEO or well connected) are the NYC suburbs Westchester, rockland, Nassau, Suffolk, county.

Yeah, it goes without saying that you folks get bent over on a routine basis. There are some counties north of you though that will only issue pistol licenses with administrative restrictions. In fact, more than just a few I believe.

Oh there's a database.

Is there a map for counties that allow dual registration? In Jefferson County it is allowed but, I was told Oswego County does not.

I wonder if adding a pistol to an unrestricted permit in this situation (A new not so 2A friendly Sheriff) exposes the permit holder up to having restrictions added ?

Yes it does, there is case law, the pistol licensee sued because he had an unrestricted permit for years and a different judge downgraded him when he added a pistol, guess what the corrupt NY courts upheld the arbitrary restrictions.

I see the maps provided break the counties into three categories. I was more interested in ones that routinely do not issue administrative restrictions and ones that routinely do issue administrative restrictions. Thus, two categories.
Taking the second amendment into account, IMO those that administer with Administrative restriction but create an avenue for you to jump through hoops and spend a ton of money to lose the restrictions are just as arbitrary and subjective in their actions as those who apply administrative restriction period. Especially when one would think that they might just consider the more recent Supreme Court decisions in 2A cases.
