Come get em! My left hand doesn't always work so well, (nerve damage, arthritis in a few fingers) so an assisted knife helps me greatly. They are discriminating against the handicap! ASSholes!

Blade magazine - in an editorial that came just days ago. "A man was arrested in Scotland May 4, for possession of a potato peeler - facing a four-year prison sentence." England, & Europe have gone insane with their anti-knife legislation, since they outlawed firearms, - knife crimes have gone through the roof. Look for the mental dwarf Cuomo to be boarding that bus shortly. -- Meanwhile, in other states, anti-switchblade laws are being taken off the books. I have never read anywheres of a man being peeled to death...just saying.

Nope amazon has had that for about 1 year now. My wife tried to me a knife for Christmas and they wouldn’t. I also tried to buy one before that and it was a no go. I thinks it’s because nyc and a few other cities have this ban. They just said no to all of nys.

I bought the Kershaw Volt & Blur from Amazon. Went to order a Volt for my dad and "cannot ship to my location". Bought it on line from Walmart no problem.
I’ve had similar experiences for a long time now. I used to find some good deals on Spyderco knives at Sierra Trading Post. Around 2010 they stoped shipping knives to New York. Not only knives, but they would not ship knife related products. I wrote to them to explain that owning any knife that they were selling was legal in upstate NY but did not receive a response. Oddly enough, this decision coincided with events surrounding the unfortunate circumstances of the plaintiffs in this case. Knife Rights, Inc. v. Vance - Second Circuit
Last I looked, Spyderco itself will not ship the majority of its products to NY and it has been that way for some time now. In this Spyderco forum post from 2017, Sal actually responds saying that he will look into it. My guess is that nothing has changed

Even as a firm believer that assisted opening is a crutch to smooth over bad knife design I think this sucks. NY already had arguably the worst knife laws in the country due to the sheer number and convoluted mess they are, this just makes it worse.
A small single edge fixed blade. In no way can it be considered a gravity knife. I'd also recommend against one that has any feature that would make it seem to be anything other than a tool. As in you should feel completely confidant in saying "this knife is not a weapon".
In the 2" to 3" I'd recommend the ESEE Izula and in the 3" to 3.5" I'd say either the Benchmade Pardue Hunter or the Boker Burnley Cub.

The short answer is NO!! It is not a switchblade. You are working the BLADE itself. There is no button or magic opening device ON THE HANDLE as described in their BS law!! You are pushing the blade open. End of conversation.
