While i understand what you are saying, a good shoot is still a good shot, hell I just watched a video from New York City of a dude holding a home invader at gun point (handgun) until police showed up.... ok not a shooting but same idea, people seem to have more misconception of this state and self defense..
Anecdote: guy I know lives in Tomkins Co. he wanted his handgun license, he didnt think he'd even get a sporting one, i talked him into going for it. He got it no issues.
But in the conversation he tried to tell me that even with my unrestricted license I wasn't legally allowed to carry in the county, specifically Ithaca..

Not sure if they drove or if they were airlifted (I didn't read the article)
But the Guthrie in Sayre is the closest trauma center, with Syracuse being the next nearest but Enfield is south of Ithaca so closer to Sayre, while Syracuse is north of Ithaca

Only one was semi-seriously wounded and heard they were medivaced to Rochester but released in a day or two. These morons actually said they went to PA to maybe avoid NY law enforcement tracing them.

Get to a different state, less likely for gsw being reported to the police who would scoop you up
