Cant really provide him a defense when he invited the man into his life due the possession of an illegal substance..
Im not saying that weed is bad, and I am not advocating its use.. But hell if you are going to be carrying a firearm where you know you arent supposed to, atleast be smart enough not to give the JBT's a reason to search your vehicle..
