NYSRPA Permit Lawsuit

Overheard on radio 1040am this morning the NYSRPA filed a new lawsuit pertaining to permit issuance.

Nothing found on the NYSRPA website but a quick look at their FB page says that on Wednesday they filed a challenge to permit law/denial of concealed carry.

I wonder where this effort will eventually end up.....

It'll make it to the 2nd circuit, be upheld and King will kill the appeal to the supreme court and pocket the left over funds.

If it's supposed to be a revenue raiser activity, they've done a terrible job at promoting it.

I thought this was "settled law" from the perspective that the Courts have already ruled Judges can place restrictions on CCW permits.

Never mind the fact it's Unconstitutional to do so.

I think the Maryland rulings probably spurred this on. Too bad cuomo has appointed literally every appellate judge in nys at this point and it will likely go nowhere.

If they want to even TRY and do something about NYS and handguns, challenge the need for a license to own a handgun, (go after the carry issue later)

Start challenging the need to get a super expensive and in many cases drawn out and difficult license just to be able to 1) rent a handgun at a range (2) hold one at a guns store (say window shoppng while waiting the sometimes 9-13+months for a response on approval or not) (3) buying just to keep at home or shoot at a range.


Nope this is a cash grab and a fudds will try and tell everyone look people are trying just keep supporting

Snake oil salesman come in all shapes and sizes! Agree with all above... Is smoke & mirrors to disguise it's true objective. In other words, a designed advertising campaign specifically targeting a prescribed response, ie, membership/donations! Nothing more...
