The high-profile family of ex-President Barack Obama seems to be up to something bizarre.

They are seeking to put a gigantic propane tank, which might as well only be suited for apocalypse-type events, in their luxury mansion property on Martha’s Vineyard Island.
Apparently, the unabashed Obamas are now up to something else. They are reported by WND and MV Times to be seeking to install an enormous commercial propane tank of 2,500 gallons on their property on the Atlantic Resort Island.

The request the Obamas made of the select board of the town of Edgarton, Massachusetts is considered “unprecedented” by the board members.

One board member, Arthur Smadbeck, is quoted as saying the local authority body never actually had a request for the installation of a “private propane tank.”

Another board member, Michael Donaroma, said a propane tank for a private residence would typically be a “fraction” of the size the Obamas are asking for.

Any average residential slob with an income north of 40kish and/or good credit could have a couple of 1000 gallon propane tanks dropped at their house and installed, either above or below ground, if they had enough property to accommodate tanks of that size, and within code and regs. Three such tanks with the proper hookups and regulators would actually allow for more propane capacity than that single 2500 gallon tank mentioned. I've delivered to homes much less posh than Martha's Vineyard that have 1 or more thousand gallon tanks of propane capacity.

A big mansion would have a voracious propane appetite, especially if it requires electrical generation in or out of an emergency. 2500 gallons is not really that much quantity. I'm sure there is a need to keep the Obamanation online if the power goes out to the Vineyard for very long (given his third term that is now in progress), but 2500 gallons of propane in a mansion like that would burn fast in a grid down scenario.
