Well I'll say this, I wouldn't quite go so far as say never be allowed to carry again as people make mistakes and it shouldn't be a life sentence, and we shouldn't need permit either. But regardless, that was very poor judgment in my opinion.

While not the intent of this thread, it makes a great example of why open carry is tactically a bad idea.
Specifically without an active retention holster.
And how/ why being proficient in hand to hand fighting is just as if not more important than shooting

It states off duty NYPD officer. The OP states MOS (Military Operations Specialist?). Note the Philly banner in the background. Probably not NYPD. Probably not an MOS. Her reaction to a gun being taken is not typical of LE. Looks like a mugging in Philly, if you ask me with improper attribution.

Small of back is a bad place to carry. Wearing spandex at small of back is worse. Having bad guy see you wearing small of back and in spandex in an inner city setting is asking said bad guy to steal the gun.
