good on him for carrying while off-duty.
But the only thing the author takes from this is to carry everywhere?
Let's see:
1) know (or at least have a passing idea) about wanted felons that might be in your area
- this whole thing wouldn't have happened if the off-duty cop didn't recognize the guy
2) PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE with your carry firearm!!!!!
- "Of the several shots he fired at the oncoming vehicle, he was able to get a single hit before dodging the oncoming car."
- How the hell do you miss a car!
3) Situational awareness
- even without a gun, if you see a wanted felon, call 911
I'm sure there are more... #2 is the one that irked me the most.
