If you post the website, then you get idiots who never ordered before harassing the company asking for verification of legality.
Not to mention additional scrutiny by the NYS Gestapo. While they may not have any legal authority to stop this commerce, they will use (abuse) their Authoritah' to scare anyone they can. Most businesses can't afford that challenge and legal risk, regardless of their beliefs. It''s hard enough to run a competitive business these days without the unlimited funds of a corrupt state pile driving you into the ground.
If you know a company that ships, keep it to PM's. Does that mean that the company name is hidden and secure from the overlords of NYS? Of course not. They have these names already. But, the more popular you make these names - the more likely they are to be targeted for abuse.
As a general rule - Shut Up. We ARE behind enemy lines in NY. OPSec is a reality. Be smart...

The business, the website link of which I posted, openly sells to residents of NY through FFLs. They openly advertise on the Internet. They send out emails to customers whom they know are within NY. They are openly discussed in forums with some frequency. They even thanked me for posting about them on my blog. As you said, the authorities in NY are likely aware of them. That I or anyone posts here about them, or because they advertise openly, does not mean they are being scrutinized more or less. If they are not concerned with their business name being out there within the state of NY - why should you be concerned.
As for keeping things in PMs - you are missing the whole point of a forum. A forum, of the Internet variety, is for open discussion between members of the forum. It is not specifically geared toward one member sending a chosen few of his buddies PMs about where and when ammunition is available - you don't need a forum for that.
As for calling authorities in NY the Gestapo, you have little to no clue as to what was the Gestapo if you think the LE authorities in this state are akin to them. Then again, just keep calling the police here the Gestapo and keep pissing them off enough and see who gets investigated - like this site and its members. They can investigate members of this site just as easily as investigating a legitimate dealer.

I tend to check Gun Deals - Deals for firearms, ammunition, and accessories • /r/gundeals daily, but I'm also on a self-imposed buying ban for a while; spent too much this summer and need to build up my 'rainy day' fund. (also known as 'SAFE Act struck down and go on a buying spree' Fund)
Gun Deals is ok, but something a little more local (NY specific) would be cool.
