It sounds like they don't know what the hell has happened. Very little word of actual shooting, but hearing about machete attacks and a car hitting a bunch of people after the fire alarm went off.

To be fair, to save lives as quick as possible, the school issued its "active shooter" alert which the students and faculty have practiced for.
Could they call it something else? Of course but im sure they use the words active shooter on purpose, it makes people listen.
So if it was s lion loose on campus they issue the "active shooter" protocol to get everyone on alert.
Still, the media sucks.
