Price fixing is a hallmark of communism.

It is both necessary for real world communism to exist, and also the reason that communist economies always collapse.

So, calling price fixing "communist" is not really a stretch.

Government setting a price for the property it owns is not the same as government setting a price for the property it doesn't own. There is a difference. She is not being a communist, she is actually worse.

You can only ever set a price for products you own.

Price fixing is the government claiming effective ownership of that product.

Although, technically you're right.

The main difference between facism and communism is that in facism the government let's corporations pretend they own things.

But, in reality, when the government sets the prices and controls all the operations of the corporations via regulation, they are effectively owners whether they admit it or not.
