Orange county ammendment wait time.

Good morning:

I just submitted my first ammendment to add a firearm in over a years time. Last time it took about two weeks, but I am hearing that there is a slowdown. Does anyone have any experience with the current wait times to get the license ammendment back? Just looking to get an idea.

Thank you. I am hearing 4 to 6 weeks from some shop owners. My last one was authorized by Derosa who has since retired. Don't know who is doing his licenses and amendments now.

I'm pretty sure Orange County's Clerk and Sheriff ruined that for Ulster and Sullivan Co.

Really? I live in Sullivan and I only had same day processing ONCE and that was because they were having another judge help expedite things around the holidays. Having said that I haven't bought a pistol in over a year and half so maybe things have changed.

Several of my friends have gotten them same day at the clerk's office this year.
