Honestly, it all depends on the judge that signs off on it. Some judges are better than others. Once the Sheriff‘s Office completes the investigation, it goes to one of the judge’s desk that handles all applications from your area. Certain towns go to certain judges. After that, it’s all up to when he gets around to it.

Yeah and pre-COVID world, this time of the year, it’s impossible to get any judge to look at applications since they were always either coming back or just leaving for vacation.
Seeing the posts in the amendment thread - 6 1/2 weeks just for an amendment sign off? I had thought our judges and clerk were pro 2nd amendment. I still have not heard of anyone getting new permits issued at all. My paperwork has been with judge for months. Disappointing. Any one familiar with things know of a usual time frame once judge has your folder?

The sheriff and clerk are deliberately slow walking permits and amendments.
They will still do contortions patting themselves on the back for how pro-22s they are.

Yea it's weird. Last week they told me to just call back today since they don't want to even take appointments that far in advance. They also said they were trying to change things to accommodate the increased demand. So I called back today and just got an appointment for April. Still not great, but way better than waiting nearly a year like I thought I was going to have to
