The governor of Oregon said she will refuse a lawful order to send Oregon national guard troops to our southern border to enforce our sovereign border and increase national security.

We've been in a "cold" civil war for awhile now. It's stuff like this that makes me believe we should "peacefully" negotiate a separation before it becomes a real war.

One of my buddies, who is adamant that we are NOT facing a coming civil war disagrees with me that we should peacefully separate now even if it means a real war later. The problem is separation will be tricky. The divide is not so much by state but within states. It's essentially an urban/rural divide with suburbs caught in the middle. NY is a perfect example. The cities are all liberal/democrat while the surrounding counties are generally conservative/republican. They have the population but we have the larger geographic region. I bet this situation is repeated in many other states.

In an actual shooting war I think the gun owners should just set up a perimeter around the cities and blockade them until they either starve, kill each other or surrender. If any liberal politicians survive they could be sent to "re-education" camps.....just kidding!
