Many of the clerks I've worked with, only work one on one. With that many firearms being handled the clerk gas to be on his A game. It's a special moment in time when you have to assume every gun handler is a rookie. Screw you if you're a customer and offended. Everyone goes home alive, respect is a two way street. Egos make people over confident and that's when shit happens.

Looks like the friend took one point blank in the lower abdomen. Hope he pulled through. Guy with the bullet in his gut stayed very calm. Smart move...Id probably be raining blows on the fucker that shot me...any more info on this?

Man, I kept looking for who would mess up. I thought it would be the clerk. As soon as that guy pulled out that handgun, I shifted my focus. "No, don't try to field strip it, the magazine is still inserted. It's still inserted, dammit, and probably loaded! Don't pull the trigger! Stop trying to strip it! D'oh!"

It really looks like he pulls the mag, sets it on the counter, bring the gun to his waist, racks it a couple times and puts a round on the counter. The round rolls behind the pistol case, relative to the camera.
I'm not sure what happened here.
I'd also say he took it on a ricochet off the counter. When something blocks the glare on the counter you can see what looks like an impact next to the corner of the paper.

The guy in red did tell his buddy not to flag the clerk, so not a total clown. He cleared his sidearm as he should have as well.
That is a strange accident.
It almost looks like the round removed from the chamber spontaneously went off.
He is seen racking the slide a couple of times after clearing his sidearm, which should have removed any other rounds in the chamber.
His hand was on the slide when the round went off. Does not look like his hand got pinched or that the pistol recoiled . Doesn't look like he has a firm grip on it and the pistol should have jumped more if it went off in the chamber.
Pistol was pointing towards countertop but there is no damage to it.

What about do not unholster your carry weapon unless it is an actual emergency?
in many places will not allow you to unholster your carry weapon and put it on top of the counter.
They ask you to go to your car and bring in back unloaded in a box.
And if so, necessary, what is the first thing you do? drop the mag and clear the gun before you start fiddle.
And it is your obligation to ask the business for permission and also show proof you have a clear firearm
before you start showing anything, let alone fiddle with it.

i went back to the OP's post and watched the ooop mp4 vid again and seen what u saw .. mag on table and bullet placed .. wth ..
but he still didn't visually inspect it be cleared ..
BTW .. every thing he did was at cock level

Looks like this just happened on 09 Jan 2021 at a gun shop in Brazil. Local news outlet says lead recipient is fine. article does not elaborate what caused discharged more than what we see in video.
Damn, I might have a different kind of negligent discharge if she's working the counter...

Last week when I was looking at my Ruger Wrangler before I bought it, the girl at the counter sprung a leak while safety checking the gun.
She opened the loading gate, spun the cylinder and closed the gate. Then she cocked the hammer and while trying to uncock the hammer, she let it go. The hammer pinched her left thumb. She was bleeding pretty good but continued with the sale.....after a bandaid.

I do believe that round may have went off on the counter unchambered. Either way there was major failure on both sides of the counter.

I don’t think he dropped the mag. He stripped the first round then tried to field strip it. I’m guessing he chambered another round at that point. Why try to field strip it at the gun counter? He clearly didn’t know how to handle a firearm properly. He failed to field strip two pistols. YouTube that shit first man.

It is clearly a ghost gun, hence the ghost bullet.
Not the time or place to pull a holstered firearm out. Looked like he was trying to show off. Then he points it at the guy and pulls the trigger. What a genius! Any follow up? I wonder what charges he is facing. He deserves some. Even if the other guy makes it through, his life will forever be different with all kinds of lingering problems I'll bet.

I saw him put a bullet on the counter. Twice. 2 bullets no mag. Enlarged it appears the pistol fired . Without further knowledge I guess the firearm will not fieldstrip with the mag inserted, I may be incorrect.
Enough blame all around with this incident.

I watched it again, he removed the mag, he removed a bullet. I can see them on the counter? Am I the only one? 50 second mark, bullet is placed on the counter? What gives?
