Anyone know if you can drive to Connecticut Cabelas and purchase ammo? I found some information online but it was so old, not sure what the policy is with out of state ammo buys.
You need a CT permit or something like that to buy ammo in Connecticut. They won't sell you ammo if you don't have it.

that’s what I figured. Crap.
would you know if that’s the same for PA?
No PA is a free state ... pick up as much as you need, no permit, no max.that’s what I figured. Crap.

Hamburg , PA?I go to the Hamburg one once a year usually.
Awesome. Thanks for this information!you can get a ammo card for CT. in Middletown CT. takes about 20 minutes and cost is $35.00 for 5 years. Place is off Rt. 91 Country Club Road exit, emergency services building. I am in Ct a couple times a week so it is worth it for Cabelas or Bass Pro.
Yup I tried last weekend. Was kinda pissed at least they had reloading handbooks. You need a CT permit or something like that to buy ammo in Connecticut. They won't sell you ammo if you don't have it.

So that’s why I couldn’t find you last time. You were in a different damned state. Makes perfect sense now!!I go to the Hamburg one once a year usually.
They had some .40 Winchester White Box the other day. I didn't get any. I actually went to Wolcott, Cabela's and Blue Tuna all on the same day and they were all cleaned out pretty much. I think Cabela's had some small pistol calibers of a mixed variety but nothing that interested me. Maybe some Critical Defense in 45 and some boxes for like .25 or .32. Handgun inventory was at almost zero except for outliers that nobody would carry. The cabelas by me in Cheektowaga has nothing for ammo. They have shotgun shells, .17hmr, .243, .270, and 300 mags. Honestly that about it. Maybe some 7mm here and there.
