Out Of State Permit

Hey All,
I used to Live in NY, 2018 i moved to NJ. I do however currently own a business in NYS,
I know NY issues permits to out of states residents who own a business in NY.
I figure their is no time like the present.
I live maybe 2 miles from the border of Orange County, and was hoping to apply there. Can anyone tell me whats needed these days? i'm going to be doing some research, but figured this was a decent place to ask as well.


Edit: It seems orange is having issues due to something with fingerprinting, Duchess county however seems much simpler and more straight forward, i see just that out of state business owners are able to get a permit, No where do I see that they need to apply to the county there business is in.
Thoughts?

Apply where you business is located... Your best bet!

It's required of residents to apply in their county which they reside. Won't lower the bar for a business... Is designed to prevent shopping permit applications in friendly counties! Doesn't say it, but I'll bet the house if you try in a county you have neither residence or business you'll be denied.

I’d call ditches and see if you can apply there. Orange County isn’t having issues with their fingerprints, but they are down right refusing to do them because of a new law imposed on us coming 9/1.

don't for get to apply for a in and out of state permit for NYC ..

never know you may need to travel there on business ..

if denied .. contact FPC and others

But aren't you allowed to keep your permit with that county even if you move?
I've heard of some who moved from Orleans to Monroe but kept their permit with Orleans since it is more 2A friendly.

Some allow this and some don’t. Most that I know of that allow it you can’t modify your permit after you leave that county so you are pigeon holes into the guns you currently have. Of course most of this is all from the interwebs so who knows how true it is. I looked into it when I planned to move from Erie to Niagara counties and that’s how it was, but that’s was about 10 years ago now.
