I'm currently in SC with family/kids for Easter break.
We just went to a local range and had a great time.
I rented a Glock 44 (.22lr) to teach kids to shoot a pistol. It was such a good feeling to just have a normal experience with them that was perfectly legal and normal.
After they built up a little comfort with the Glock 44 they each shot my fullsize 9mm I have with me. They liked it and it didn't freak them out too much but they definitely really enjoyed the Glock 44.
They did great and are very excited. They definitely want to shoot more.
The local range I'm at is also great, very helpful workers they ended up not even charging me for the rental fee just gave it to us on the house just because.
10 out of 10 range trip with the family.
