Over 36,000 trout released in Orange County waterways

ORANGE COUNTY – Over 36,000 trout have been introduced into local waterways in Orange County. The State Department of Environmental Conservation was assisted in the effort by volunteers from the Orange County Federation of Sportsmen’s Clubs.

The trout, provided by the DEC, are paid for with funds from The Pittman-Robertson Act, an 11 percent federal excise tax on sporting arms, ammunition and archery equipment.

Of course they will.
There’s a local trout stream by me in town and they only put 1050 in there. They get fished out quickly. They should put more in for sure.
