Drove 1.75 hours to Erie, PA last Friday. 15 minutes, $20 and renewed permit in hand. Took my wife out for a nice lunch.

Congrats! A few months back, I tried to renew the one I got from Lackawanna in 2016. When I called they told me they were only handling PA residents then. Ended up driving another 40 minutes to the Wyoming County Sheriff in Tunkhannock and getting it there. Nice little river town, I'd have liked to spend a few hours checking it out if it wasn't February.

PS: In the renewal notice letter they asked NY residents to come on Friday only.
