living in 2 states.

question: Can you have a drivers license in one state [ny] and have PA ID card [non drivers license], if you are a dual resident? does PA allow this (or do you have to surrender ny license and get PA license)? [if this is a hassle, i would just drop the idea of PA ID card]

will this create a tax hell and have to pay 2 state taxes?

First off welcome to the forum lol. I’ve been thinking about this also but if it works than you’ll be paying a lot of taxes I best believe or might be a lot of work, don’t quote me on that though. You can be a PA resident with PA ID and get a NYS part time resident CCW. So in theory, you’ll have a PA ID that allows you to pretty much buy anything and get the NYS part time resident CCW unrestricted permit but keep in mind once you get that permit you still have to abide by the safe act when in NY. You’ll need proof that you’re a part time resident here in NY.
