Rome also didn't have trial by twitter to help bring society to its knees.

I've come to the realization that social media is the very worst thing to come out of the internet. I think the entire world has been made net worse by it. I'd define social media as non-anonymized + public communication on the internet. If you think about how we talk without facebook, or how everyone online did prior, it was using handles. This removes a large amount of virtue signaling and bullying/lynching that people have done of others on facebook, twitter, etc.

With the internet, everyone is a badass, because...well...cowards gonna coward.

In the "old days" (1950-mid-60s for me) if you "dissed" someone, they'd kick your ass - or your parents might.

If the democrats keep pushing and get what they want we will fall soon. We will spend so much and make the cost of our goods so prohibitive we won’t have an economy and we will have spent whatever comes after trillion. Then when China comes to collect its debts the democrats will have spent us into oblivion so we will own them Texas and Alaska because they are the most rich in natural resources.
