Didn't an Indian tribe back out of thier offer recently due to the bankruptcy? I was under the impression that the new owners may be liable for any litigation outcomes post sale, and that's why they backed off.
If so, pretty ballsy to not only accept the debt load but assume any unknown future debt load from suits.

It was a matter of time, In the last 8 years enthusiast shooting has gone through the roof, You have custom companies making better Rem 700 actions then Remington ever has. The 870 has all been replaced by the Mossberg 500. Ruger precision rifles for the price makes the Rem tactical a hard sell. The Freedom Group milked the brand recognition with premium prices, made their money and cashed out. I personally think Remington ammo is shit. Maybe the only thing they make well are Sabots.

Hell Remington was one of the first companies to jump on the AR10 platform and market it strictly for hunting... most people don't even think ar15/10 when you mention Remington..

All anyone really thinks is 700/870/shitty 1911 and ruined marlin lever guns
