Curious as to whether this will hold up in court. I'm not familiar with assault laws in their state, but I'd have to imagine there is some form of exception for someone who is willing to being on the receiving end. I doubt this will go far enough for us to find out, though - I'd bet the DA will offer them a much lower charge to plead to.
