I'm curious if we will see action against CA and their attempts to allow illegals to vote in local elections.
As satisfying as that would be, I would rather see them lose in a court of law (to prove their actions were in no way legit), then suffer in prison for a LONG LONG time before finally being ended.
I actually wouldn't mind knowing some of my tax dollars were for keeping her, and her ilk, in gen-pop for 20 years.

I lived in a suburb of Buffalo for 62 years, now living in Free America, aka the Carolinas, near Charlotte. When I lived in WNY, I visited the Great White North many, many times over the years. Probably hundreds of times. Prior to getting my NY CCW, I would get the standard questions: What is the purpose of your visit today? Are you bringing in anything illegal with you? No? Have a nice day...
And then, sometime very shortly AFTER I received my NY CCW, I took a quick trip over to Canada for some good Chinese food in Ft. Erie. And I was IMMEDIATELY and FORCEFULLY hit with the following questions:
What firearms are you bringing into Canada with you today?
WHY do you feel the need to own handguns Mr. ABC???
NO ONE needs to own handguns, - Again, - WHY do you feel the need to own them?
And others that are now just a blur. I told them because it was my Constitutional Right. I wasn't searched, but it felt like a 20 question interrogation. It was 100% clear that New Yorkistan had given my (and everyone else's CCW permit info to Canada!!!) WTF?
Even now, when I visit Canada (over 10 years later), I still get a bit of the 3rd degree, and get asked questions specifically about my handguns.
I just smile; tell them that I still own them; and then tell them that I left them home that day, - just so they could feel safe... And they somewhat begrudgingly let me thru.
I don't know that I will ever see the old Great White North become the 51st state during my lifetime. But it is fun to think about how they would deal with it, - especially if full National Reciprocity were to also become the law of the land!

When I got my permit initially, as well as when I “recertified“ with the SP, I signed up for having my permit exempted from public disclosure. So much for New Yorkistan doing that.
First, - the state turned over our permit data to Canada. Also, an asshole cop with the OPPD openly disclosed that I had a permit to my ex-wife and her boyfriend, who, BTW, had threatened to murder me on multiple occasions and that he had actually admitted to those same cops! I still have all of those police reports in my possession, - including the one that detailed the cop who wrongfully disclosed my permit to my ex-wife.

Ive been over the border many, many times WITH firearms. I've never heard a discouraging word from the border guys.
As long as your paperwork is in order, they have been very friendly.
Sinse their new "no handgun" laws, you need prior approval in triplicate, but still haven't had any issues.
We drive to our property in Alaska 2-4 times a year. I haven't crossed the border without guns in 30+ years.
But, there is a difference between crossing with filed paperwork and crossing with a permit but no firearm I suppose.
I just wish there was a way to get to the last frontier without going through Canada.
