The latest in this saga. The sheriff, Scott Israel, had a son who was accused of sexual assault back in 2014. The son was never arrested and instead was suspended for 3 days. Guess who was the officer that investigated the assault? None other than Scot Peterson, the coward who hid while the parkland murderer went on his killing spree.
Did Peterson get the cake do nothing job as a reward for keeping Israel's son out of trouble? That is a reasonable conclusion.

This is exactly what went through my mind when I saw this.
The POS who had been "Stealing his paycheck", by not doing what he was being paid to do. Apparently he thought his job was to harass the student he might have caught in the hall during classes. I can hear him now; "Do you have a hall pass?", or "Get going to your class, the bell already rang"!!

Back when I was in jr. high school and high school several of my teachers were Korean war veterans. One gym teacher who ultimately became the high school principal was a major 1911 fan. There are teachers who take advantage of the various post service GI education plans and would make excellent candidates for teacher - carry programs.
All SUNY campuses that I know have their own private, well armed police forces on campuses. Buff State and UB have full time armed patrol officers with access to shotguns, assault weapons and .308 sniper rifles (gun terms intentionally abused to mock libtards.) So the libtard professors sit at arms length from a well armed response should the snowflakes decide to riot or a terrorist cell try to start some shit. (Tons of veterans on campus all lawfully not packing as a result of draconian NY laws.)
Why are K-12 schools so bare naked vulnerable and why are SUNY campuses so well armed?

All adults, not just teachers should be allowed to carry if otherwise legally able; carry permits should be applicable to all non-hardened areas. This means you can still keep guns out of court rooms and out of the oval office, but since there is nothing precluding an evil-doer from bringing a gun to a non-hardened area, it should be legal for a permitted person to do so. That is common-sense gun reform.
