I refuse to EVER support companies that are anti American.

Yea, ive never got that.
Ive spent more time in the wilderness than in a house.
Including a year and a half in the Brooks Range in Alaska 200 miles from a road or town.
The most ive ever spent was $150 on a parka.
That lasted a month, then traded that for a Woolrich jacket that lasted years.

I received an unsolicited catalog from them a couple years ago. I seem to remember it being filled with a lot of WAY over priced crap that would be sported by some urban guy with a man bun. I like boycotting something I would never use anyway, lot less painful. Maybe I'll request a catalog, I'll be a debit.

The resistance against President Trump is also a resistance against the American people.
We the people have spoken, millions of us voted for President Trump and for his agenda of draining the swamp and MAGA.
It seems to me anyway, that a lot of the so called "resistance" doesn't factor this in to their thought process.

CEO vary well may be a liberal hipster douche, but is saving public lands a bad cause? Its one of the only times I agree with power for the federal gov. Now Im sure every circumstance has its own angles and intricacy's but for the most part the system works good. And therein lies the problem.
The company was founded by an early rock and mountain climber with some pretty impressive accomplishments. It made so much money that they could afford to support environment causes and they actually did do a lot of good work, like buying up almost an entire state in Chile so it could avoid development and exploitation. They basically preserved an entire eco system and they do allow hunting and fishing. I like that they did it privately with other like minded individuals using their own money.
But now they're just succumbing to the usual anti-Trump hysteria. The big issue is the Bears Ear area in Utah, which is like Zion or Canyonlands. It is possible that with Trump they can put in a coal powered plant that would affect air quality but conservative assholes like myself will argue that coal can be done cleanly and safely... while creating jobs and keeping energy costs reasonable. They also stopped or removed a few dams and prevented the development of a giant ski area in Canada because it was on sacred native land.
I used to buy their stuff for climbing back in the day and have a few shirts and things left... but stopped buying from them years ago when they went off the Leftist deep end. For a while they made military uniforms and higher end gear called MARS and it was nice stuff but then they got idealistic and anti-war and exited the business - that was really the final straw. If you want high quality performance gear from companies that have more realistic values try Arcteryx LEAF and Kuiu hunting gear - they aren't cheap but the quality is even better than Patagonia so who needs them?
As I sit here wearing my $10 made in China by slaves Tractor Supply shirt....
