LMAO my FIL used to do the same thing. He'd trap them in his screened in porch, spray their tails florescent orange then take them to a state park a few miles away and release them. He wanted to know if the ones he kept catching were coming back...

People used to do that at Georgia Tech leading into parent's weekend, rofl.

Orange tailed squirrels all over the place.

I had a bad squirrel problem at my previous house. The fuckers loved my bird feeder but I was also concerned with them getting into the attic or garage. So I checked You Tube for possible non-lethal squirrel removal methods. One guy rigged up a catapult contraption. He bated a weight sensitive area and when the squirrel went for the food, the critter would get tossed about 20-30 feet over a wood fence. It was hilarious!! I came across plenty of DYI videos, some were very entertaining LOL.

I ended up rigging an elec. fencer to my metal bird feeder. Squirrel walks out an aluminum pole secured to a big maple tree, makes plus/minus contact points and gets a jolt. I was amazed at how high a squirrel can jump!! :ROFL: The little fuk'rs are smart, they learned fast not to go to the feeder;)

Used to have a big walnut tree in the middle of my backyard, needless to say the skwerls were outta control. My coonhound Hank used to love chasing them. About a year before I lost Hank to a brain tumor he started being obsessed, just incessantly barking at the tree. I didnt paint any skwerls, I got a pellet rifle. End of problem. Got rid of the tree and now all I have are those annoying red skwerls that keep storing crap in my shed. A rat trap takes care of them.

A few years back I was wondering what happened to all the squirrels around my place. One day I was cleaning out the gutter under my boys bedroom window and it was filled with .22 brass…question answered. Now they are all moved out and miraculously there are squirrels again
