Last , but not least. A project that I never got around to . Includes the burle wood scales the blade is sitting on.
Note: this style blade tang is better suited for imbedding in a piece of deer antler for a handle. I had some kicking around here somewhere. if I find a piece I’ll throw that in too.

what do these actually do? i understand they're supposed to tighten up the fit between upper and lower but in practice how do they work.

It just sits inside the bottom of the lower under where the rear takedown pin goes. When you close the upper down it takes up the space so when the pin is in it is a tight fit.
