At the Peekskill gun buyback now. Long line at 9am, moving slowly. 75% of the people here are over 65 years old. There are some pretty junky, rusty guns being turned in. Missing bolts, etc. I haven’t seen any modern guns yet.

They are giving receipts. They announced that the guns are being melted into a sculpture.

For what it’s worth, I overheard that they accept guns on pistol permits and it’s no problem to remove them from the permit. I decided against bringing any handguns.

Really need to have an FFL and set up a firearm’s rescue nonprofit charity table outside these events. Send firearms to countries that are sending us refugees so they can defend their own homes in their own countries.

Went to a buy back in Middletown a few years back. They gave out Visa Gift cards that expired a week later. Detectives went to your car and handled the firearms. Didn't want you touching them.

Got my $400! Free metered parking and 30 seconds to get my cash and leave. They only have $350 left for buyback now so they will probably close up early. Wore my “Black Guns Matter” shirt and told them I’m only doing this because I’m a fan of the arts lol!
