I've always given people who feel we should let anyone who wants to vome here this analogy of illegal immigration:
Imagine you're sitting at home when a stranger walks in your front door, plops his / her ass on the couch, helps themselves to the refrigerator, borrows money from your purse / wallet, without permission, and uses your health insurance card to go to the doctor whenever they feel, and maybe even threatens your children in the name of their religion. Would you be upset? Yes? How does this differ from illegal immigration because that's pretty much what happens.
