Incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) said in an interview with the New York Times that the Constitution considers her to be President Donald Trump's equal.

Pelosi is set to regain the speaker's gavel after spending eight years as House minority leader. Pelosi was the first female speaker of the House from 2007 to 2011, and she maneuvered to get the party's votes necessary to secure the speakership again after Democrats won back the chamber in the November midterms.

In a piece with a headline declaring her an "icon of female power," Pelosi was asked by the reporter "if she considers herself Mr. Trump's equal."

"The Constitution does," she replied.

The moron should read the Constitution. It takes her Vote plus 289 of her peers (55 of which will have to be Republican members of Congress ... never gonna happen) to override or equal a Trump veto. She is either ill informed or is delusional about her influence to garner 290 votes.

I wasn't aware the President could write laws or appropriate public funds.

So what precisely do you think Trump will do, within the bounds of the Constitution, to move any ball forward in the next two years?

The President has extroidinary responsibility, and the powers to enforce and maintain those responsibilities that no other constitutional office has. If you doubt this, start reading about Lincoln and the Civil War.

The problem with career politicians is they are detached from actual work ethic and value in life. Long term politicians are nothing more than high roller welfare recipients. They truly are a representation of their constituents.

Based on her history and behavior I find her to be a vicious, nasty, dishonest politician. I believe she is all about power and would have no qualms in damaging our Republic, destroying any organization, or ruining the life of any individual to keep, consolidate, or build power.

As a guest at social functions, I have met and talked to her, and although she was friendly enough, it was clear she is mentally aberrant with an alcohol problem. No doubt. I'd love to see her take an MMPI-2.

I think all politicians should be required to take one as a condition of office, and the results openly published. I bet a lot of people would NOT willingly put psychopaths in positions of power over them.
