Permit question

hi all
Currently reside outside of NY(former resident) looking at an opportunity that will bring me back home. I would be living in the CNY (originally from Saratoga county) area and have some flexibility of exactly where. Is there a CNY county that is vastly better than another as it relates to ease of issue, type of permit, etc? Or have all counties become "standardized". My old NYS pistol permit was "hunting and target" was wondering if that was still the norm. Thanks

Not for nothing, but I wouldn't call it an "opportunity" to go back to NYS. Ya' managed to get paroled, now do the right thing and stay out.

I can certainly appreciate your sentiment. I held a similar one myself prior to moving. But for me, its the right thing. I could go on and on about why GA sucks, but your perspective may vary. Both my wife and myself have family and friends back in NY. Our interests are there as well. Sure, my taxes will double..Ill sell my AR...but, at least in my opinion, there are some things you cant put a price tag on. As I've said to many, you cant really appreciate NYS until you leave. But again, your mileage may vary. And to anyone thinking of moving south, take a hard look at the school system if you value your childs education.
