Permit Recert Card?

Upon successful re certification aren't permit holders suppose to get yet another permission slip that they have to carry with them?
Does anyone have such a card yet? If so, can they put up a redacted pic of it?

Hmmm. At one point the SP gave a press release that that would happen. A very interesting situation. One has to recertify every 5 years, but they have no readily accessible means to determine when the recert expires, we already know how good they are on sending out letters to inform permit holders of important information.

In Niagara County you have the option of getting your recertification date put on the face of your permit. I did not as they would print a new first card and I would lose my color picture, since they only print pictures in black and white now.

Same here certified online check status immediately after I was done and it said I was certified until 2023. Printed the status And stapled it to the original letter that I was sent and stored in safe. Done

Something I find amusing is the paperwork that some feel they need to carry around with them supplementing their required to carry license.
If the issuing agency cannot be bothered to keep my required credentials updated I am not worrying about it.
My County does not issue a new carry document or card every Time I add or remove a handgun. Right now I own three revolvers and one pistol that are not printed on my license There are also two pistols listed on my permit that I no longer own. I have done what I am dictated to do. I am not going to carry a file cabinet full of documents around with me because the system sucks.

If you feel the need take pic's of said paper work with your phone! ( And yes I now not everyone has a phone with a camera!) put it in a separate file if possible.

Which county do you live in? Monroe requires an update every time a pistol is purchased or sold.

Why carry a recertification letter? Doesn't mean squat and anyone could Photoshop their name, etc into it.

The NYSP "DATABASE" will forevermore have your information, and even if it doesn't any potential issue would require the law enforcement agent in your encounter to "suspect" or "prove" you're in violation of any State laws... Not going to be an easy thing to do! Sure, the scaredy cats will worry that they could be arrested for anything, and the big old boogey man is coming to get them.

But normal people who don't break laws don't worry about it at all! Why should they? And why should they make it easy for any LE encounter by carrying "PAPERS" to make their life easy! You suspect me of criminal activity, arrest me, is that simple. But they won't, and they won't! I really don't understand all the concerns, it's an overblown reaction, and as noted, the hysteria and uneasiness is exactly what "THEY" want... They want you to be unsure, they want you to be fearful, they want you "NOT" to bother exercising your 2nd Amendment Rights because of the burden in doing so...

Keep the faith, enjoy your Rights by exercising them and invoking them when required! Don't sweat the small stuff...!

Saratoga County. Girls in the sherriff's office who are quite pleasant I will add, tell me to place a sticky label on my laminated Lic. listing the the handguns I own. I don't bother. Seems rather absurd to me. Hell, I could write on or leave off whatever I wanted on that label.
I am sure all the information is available for any LEO locate. If for some reason I am questioned about a handgun that is not physically listed my License and they don't believe what I tell them they can search for themselves to locate the information.
I will not be carrying around additional proof in the form of extra paperwork such as amendments or Photo's of same.

You are right and I agree with you 100%. But I worked too damn hard all my life. Did everything I needed to do plus a lot more for my family and Kids. I still help my parents when they are not helping me. Put money away so that one day I can live a good life when I finally can say "Fuck it I am done working".

I'd rather be fucked by a thousand Hildabeasts before I lose it all trying to defend my self over some frivolous crap that I could be accused with. Not worth it at all.
Everyone seems to think they are entitled because that's what the law says. Bottom line is they make the rules up as they go and I am not about to lose my livelihood over trying to fight them.

I have got bigger fish to fry and more bills to pay. Now let me go send in my monthly payment for...as my dad always called it "my big vacation place." - Cemetery plot.
