A Fairport man was arrested a couple months ago for threatening a family with a firearm, TWICE in one day, he went before a judge in the town of Fairport and was released on an APPEARANCE TICKET. Last week he failed to show up at his scheduled court date. >>SURPRISE<< so Monroe county Sheriff's found the man and arrested him again....the Fairport Justice has RELEASED the guy again on an APPEARANCE TICKET, AGAIN!

anyone want to bet on the chances Mr. Upstanding Citizen showing up for a second court date?

My guess: practically zero.

But judge's hands are tied. Luckily, I haven't really experienced this just yet (haven't had a lot of criminal cases come before my court) but I would have to do the same thing unless it's a qualifying offense.
