I hate safeties, and I especially hate backwards safeties like this. Plus it digs into your hand while racking the slide. The takedown on this is unnessessarily awkward. I don't like the locking block as part of the barrel. The mag release button is too small and stiff.

But I knew that going into it. I just can appreciate all firearms.

No backwards frame mounted safety for me. Here's my copy that I actually picked over the beretta for that very reason. Yours is prettier though.

Playing with my new DLSR.

Beretta 92FS Inox, LE version with 3 mags included. Italian made. Bought 3 more. Bought a second, black slide, USA made. Now I got options. :D

This will surely help with my Max Payne cosplay.

Nice piece!
I put a Wilson Combat lo-pro safety in mine. I like it a lot. It deletes the left hand (right side) safety and makes the right hand safety lever almost flush with the slide.

Back in the day, before I was old enough to apply for my permit, I was interested in the 92. I got to handle one up in Maine at a Cabela's. Felt awesome in the hand. I still like them, but have since acquired interest in more guns than I can afford. So on the list it goes.

One thing that concerns me a little with simply swapping a slide on a gun like that is that the slide hasn't been specifically fit to that frame. That being so, if you shoot using both of them off and on, you may notice a variance in points of wear on the frame being made by one or the other slide. That can effect a lot of things, and could cause some slop in the accuracy. There are bigger problems that could possibly occur, but in my experience the 92fs is a gun built for reliability and 'combat' accuracy, so it's.. got a little bit of room to move , if you get what I'm saying.

Now, I know it's far more common practice these days that people swap out slides on glocks on such for multi cal platforms, but it's a little bit of a different thing on polymer frames than with steel also. My point is that when it comes to smithing and replacement slides on a gun like yours , it's not considered the best idea to swap and replace slides unless it's really needed (when you break one); and then to properly tighten/fit and lap the replacement when that day comes.

Anyway, nice lookin' gun. Congrats.

Yes! I actually hear you more than Beretta. I was thinking the same thing (and trust me you won't offend me with being truthful about this...I got that second slide for nearly pocket change...), HOWEVER, it addresses that on the Beretta site. "Fit for XXXX, plug and play..."

I personally feel I'll be just fine with both, as I doubt many handguns are precision fit to frames to that extent nowadays, but I considered that. Also headspace. But, again, considered that too.

In honor of Resident Evil: Revelations, as I play through it. One handed shooting while filming is tricky. But she's worth it. :drool:

I still hate the fact that they include blued mags with an INOX gun. I bought 3 stainless mags, as you see in the video, just to complete it.

I'm not a huge fan of the stainless controls though. I like the contrast of INOX and black.

Darth, I think the Inox and the black give it both a classy and mean look. Do you like the safety on the 92FS or have you considered making it a decocker or 92G?
