Pine City Steel Challange (Feb 8th)

There will be a Steel Challange match at pine city sportsman club 10am February 8th

Sadly didnt get to shoot cortland last Sunday (canceled due to weather)

This one will be Saturday February 8th at 10 am, Pine City NY

And I have officially convinced my one buddy to come and shoot his first ever match (he just got into guns and just go his handgun license I'd say within thr last 12 months or so)

We are trying to convince our other friend to come as well but hes reluctant (I'm even offering to cover his ammo)

And weirdly more exciting (for me) my cousin messaged me last month asking about shooting matches and how to get into them and wanting to do so and he is hoping to make it as well (I think this is the 3rd time we have spoken to eachother in 10 years haha)

We are still just doing practice matches 3 stages with 5 strings each, $5.00 for members and $8.00 for nonmembers.

The club is NRA sanctioned (so out of state people can come and shoot with the stupid paperwork) but are not SCSA sanctioned. But my buddy said they still follow all the rules and format

Yes, my Club just became USPSA affiliated so we are looking to have sanctioned matches in the future.

That's what I'm trying to tell my buddy who is hesitant to join me. Some dumb shit about he isnt confident in his pistol shooting ability yet.

I keep telling him I'm not the least bit great with a pistol and generally land in the bottom 3rd maybe middle of the pack out of all the shooters (even dead last once, lot of malfunctions) but i had a hell of a time and that's all that mattered (shit I'm even giving him the ammo to shoot hahaha)

This is somewhat new to me also, and I'm shooting rimfire pistol. I use my Browning Buckmark with optics or my S&W M&P 22 FS and just got 4 more mags fot the M&P 22 Compact, so I'm shooting for less then $10.00 a match!

This weekend I'm hoping to shoot my carry gun (G19) in carry optics and my G17 in production, but I really really want to get a Ruger Mk IV and build a fun little rim fire open gun (I actually havent shot an actual steel challange match, only one stage one time at another match that had 5 stages)

My one buddy who may be even more excited then I am is planning on shooting his G34 MOS with SRO in carry optics and his new 19x in production

And if we can convince our 3rd buddy I'm sure he will be shooting his G19 but slide is all milled up with windows so idk what division they will put that in or just call it production since it's not sanctioned

We have been using Home | PractiScore for our practice matches also (SSRG) not the easiest site to navigate but I'm learning it!

Also I will be taking the USPSA RO course next month at my Club (still 10 openings in Greenfield Center NY 03/14/2020) Then from what I uderstand the Steel Challenge RO course is online.
